Hello

Although I am a pom, I learned to fly in Fort Worth Texas in the 80's because the British weather is not conducive to learning to fly. I then bribed the UK examiner to give me a UK license and an IFR license ( now defunct).

In 1995 even the Ozy's gave me a license. Unfortunately I did not have the resources to do much flying, just sufficient to keep my license. I had a share in a Cherokee 180 in England, built a Jabiru J430 in Australia. Imported a SeaMax fuselage into Oz in 2007 and fitted the engine, instruments, etc. and now fly an ICP Savannah VG.

Workwise I started life as an apprentice at Rolls Royce Aero Engine division in Bristol England, eventually becoming a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and owning about 20 companies. making cranes, lifts, cars, a finance company and even a gold mine. But that sounds grander that it was. It was mainly pouring money into big hole in the ground.

I also love adventures and have been on many, which we can discuss over a wine or two some night.

Really looking forward to our trip and thank David for instigating it.
